LiveIslam.org is a welcoming online platform dedicated to guiding and supporting anyone curious about Islam—whether they’re non-Muslims seeking to learn more, new Muslims on a journey of discovery, or long-standing members of the faith. What began with a focus on the Bay Area has evolved into a broad-reaching initiative, offering one-stop resources for understanding Islam, connecting with local communities, and living the faith daily.
Our Story
The journey of LiveIslam.org began with a simple yet profound realization at the Muslim Community Association (MCA) in the Bay Area. Through a program known as “The Visitors Hour,” we opened our mosque doors to non-Muslims, inviting them to experience Islam firsthand. These sessions were filled with open dialogue, heartfelt questions, and genuine connections. We witnessed barriers break down and misconceptions fade as people engaged directly with the Muslim community.
Inspired by the transformative impact of these interactions, we recognized a greater need: to extend this welcoming atmosphere beyond our local community and into mosques across the globe.
We envisioned a platform that would not only centralize resources for non-Muslims curious about Islam but also support new and established Muslims as they embarked on their spiritual journeys.
A Movement Taking Shape
While our roots lie in serving non-Muslims and new Muslims locally, we quickly recognized that our approach resonates with people everywhere. LiveIslam.org is then meant to be a movement—one that inspires each region, city, and country to create or adapt a similar platform. Ultimately, these networks can link together, forming a global tapestry of knowledge, community, and shared purpose.
